Root & flash custom recovery on Canvas 2.2


Micromax Canvas 2.2 is a great and one of the common device powered by MTK6582 along with 1 GB of RAM which provides smooth and lag free performance. It sports 5 inch qHD screen and runs on Android 4.2.2 which is pretty old. Device features 8 megapixel rear camera and 2 megapixel front camera 
with a 2000 mAh battery.

By rooting and flashing recovery you can install custom ROM(s) to increase the performance. Rooting removes all the restrictions allowing you to use the best out of your phone. Follow this tutorial for rooting and flashing recovery on canvas 2.2.


WHAT WE NEED

- Canvas 2.2 with at least 80% Battery.

- USB Drivers Click Here.

- vRoot Click Here.

- Recovery.img file Click Here.

- Mobile uncle tools Click Here.

- PC/Laptop


ROOTING-

STEP 1- Install the USB drivers so that the device will get detected by PC/Laptop.

STEP 2- Install vRoot on your Pc.

STEP 3- Open vRoot and connect your phone to the PC/Laptop via USB cable and after when the phone is detected by vRoot click on the green button!! this will root your device.

STEP 4- Disconnect your device and reboot. ALL DONE.


FLASHING CWM RECOVERY

STEP 1- Install Mobile uncle tools on your device.

STEP 2- Place the recovery file in your SD card (outside all of the folders).

STEP 3- Open Mobile uncle tools provide SuperUser permissions. Click on RECOVERY UPDATE select the Recover.img file, this will reboot your device by flashing cwm on your device.

DONE.
